Aloha?.. Yes, Hawaii

Hawaiian Sunset on the Beach
Hawaii is most definitely one of the most gorgeous places on earth. I myself love the ocean and am a sucker for a good sunset and some palm trees... and I'm not the only one who is glad to have Hawaii part of the United States. But, Hawaii didn't go down without a fight. Queen Liliuokalani was determined to keep Hawaii free. But that obviously didn't happen. To me this isn't a question or argument to ask someone like me. This is something that the natives of Hawaii want. Whether they enjoy being a part of the U.S. or not is not a part for me to say. I am not the kind of person to argue about something like that.
Queen Liliuokalani
Hawaiians just want what's best for there home land. They have done well keeping it a beautiful place, and I'm sure if i was a native there i wouldn't want to be taken over by the United States. It is almost like their own island. Like in the movies, you see those few people who inhabit an island and want it as their own. When someone comes along and tries to take it they get protective. I wouldn't mind if Hawaii was its own country or it own territory because it would just be like every other beautiful place you just wish to get to someday. Some place like Sydney, Australia... Costa Rica... Brazil... and any other beautiful places. It would be just like that. Them being part of the U.S. is just a perk. Just a place to get away. A place that should be taken care of....
Costa Rica-What would you do if your beautiful land was taken from you...?

  1. I love the way you're thinking...great job. My kids want to use my husband's mass quantities of Frequent Flyer Miles to go to Hawaii next summer. Part of me really wants to go and enjoy the natural scenery and culture, but part of me feels really guilty about it. I hope there will one day be a solution that makes everyone happy.
